Obituary of Cynthia Marie Mayfield

In loving memory of Cynthia Marie Mayfield. Cynthia Marie Mayfield, 61 years old transitioned on Friday, September 9, 2022 at Vassar Medical Center. Cynthia was born June 24, 1961 in Poughkeepsie New York to Joel W. Mayfield and the late Lela M. Murphy. She is survived by five siblings; Nazeeh Shabazz (Georgia), Darrin Mayfield (Newburgh), Michael
Mayfield (Georgia), Sharon Mayfield (Poughkeepsie) and Regina Mayfield (Texas) as well as 7 neices and 8 nephews.
Cynthia was educated in the Poughkeepsie School system. She loved to write poetry and spending time with family, laughing and always wearing a smile on her face….through her innocence leaving a smile on your face as you engaged her. To know her was to love her. She was humble and sweet to the end. She will be missed. Many thanks to family, friends, Vassar Medical Center and The Pines Rehab and Nursing Center.
