Sandra L. Rugar, 76 of Pleasant Valley, NY died on Monday, November 07, 2022 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Sandra was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on February 27, 1946 to the late William and Flossie Wakely Lawton. She married George Rugar, Sr. on December 20, 1964 in Pennsylvania. He predeceased her in 2017. A life Long local resident, Sandra was employed at Vassar Temple until her retirement in 2015. She enjoyed playing the organ and singing.Survivors include her sons, Shane (Kate) Rugar of LaGrangeville, NY, George (Pam) Rugar of Hyde Park, NY and her grandson Jake Rugar.Visitation will take place at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc. 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603 on Friday, December 2, 2022 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Burial is private and at the convenience of the family.
