Obituary of Raymond Chuck Riordan
Raymond “Chuck” Riordan, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away peacefully after a brief battle with cancer surrounded by family on December 2, 2022.
Born on December 16, 1944, in Poughkeepsie, New York, Chuck was the oldest of 8 sons born to Raymond and Doris Riordan.
A lifelong resident of the area, Chuck was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School, attended Dutchess Community College, and served our Country in the United States Navy from 1963 until 1967.
Chuck was a man of deep faith and a longtime member of Faith Assembly of God Church. While he worked as a Letter Carrier for the US Post Office for many years, his passion was volunteering as a Substance Abuse Treatment Counselor where he applied his own life experience and faith to help others overcome their addictions.
He is survived by daughter and son in-law Kelly and Ed Budai of Hyde Park, New York, son and daughter in-law Kevin and Amy Riordan of Butler, Pennsylvania, son and daughter in-law Ray and Jennifer Riordan of Holly Springs, North Carolina, grandchildren Lacey, Shelby, EJ, Joshua, Anna, Caleb and Noah, brother and sister in-law Ronald and Pam Riordan, brother and sister in-law Richard and Jean Riordan and many nieces and nephews
His Graveside Services will be held December 7, 2022 at 11:00 AM from St Peter's Cemetery, Salt Point Turnpike, Poughkeepsie, NY with Military Honors
Interment will take place in St. Peter's Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, NY.
