I was very sorry to learn of Jim’s passing. My heartfelt condolences to his family. Jim & I were friends before we lost touch Life happens. He expanded my world to include the world of motorcycles and its culture. He had a pet name for his Harley. He called her “Beauty” and would refer to Beauty and himself as “Beauty and the Beast”. I hope he’s getting in lots of riding - wherever he is in the wind.

Jim was a lovely man, full of insights that I'd never thought of. He was warm, charming, funny and very clever. I will never forget his wisdom and quirky ways.
I met Jim though ABATE (American Bikers Aimed Toward Education). He was very involved with bringing joy to the Veterans at Castle point when a team from ABATE would visit with coffee and donuts.
I later worked with Jim for quite a few years.
Jim always said that he would have to work until "half past I'm dead", are you still working Jim?
I hope not, you deserve peace.
Rest in Peace my friend,
Kate (Lange) Smith

I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing and my deepest condolences to Jim's family. We worked together at IBM for many years, and I always enjoyed being around Jim. He would help create new drawings that documented requirements for our computer systems. I never heard Jim say 'no' whenever I needed help - may he rest in peace.

I was very sorry to hear about Jim’s passing. I got to know him as a parishioner of St Martin de Porres in Poughkeepsie. I was able to spend time with him and Barbara just before he relocated to California. He was a thoughtful, gentle, loving man. I continue to keep him and his family in my prayers.
