Obituary of Michele C. Darby

Michele C. Darby, 76, of Poughkeepsie, NY, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023.  Born in Poughkeepsie on May 4, 1946, she was the daughter of Michael and Wilma Smith Benante.  Michele worked as a manager for IBM in Poughkeepsie, retiring in 1993.  She enjoyed reading, writing and was a big animal lover.  Michele is survived by her daughter Jennifer L. Whitman of Denver Colorado, and her son and daughter-in-law Chad M. and Kaitlyn Darby of Poughkeepsie.  Additionally, she is survived by her grandchildren Romaro and Lilliana Whitman, William Darby and several nieces and nephew.  She was predeceased by Doris Williamson, her sister. Graveside Services will be held 11am Thursday January 12, 2023, at St. Peter’s Cemetery Poughkeepsie, New York.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Timothy P.
