Dear Budai Family,
My husband Jim Harris worked a few years with Ed, at Deans Tire. Jim and Budai (his name to us) would always have a few beers after work. Budai was an amazing man and a good friend to Jim. Our condolences to his beautiful family. Budai will always hold a special place in our hearts. Rest in Peace Budai.
God Bless
Jim & Darlene Harris

I was friends and a work colleague with Ed in the 80's as we both started our automotive careers together at Tara Motors. We became instant friends as we both started in the car business. We drank many a beer together in those days. We had not seen each other much over the last thirty years but spoke occasionally and he always brought a smile to my face. He was truly one of the kindest people I've ever met, his loss will be felt by many for years to come. RIP my little buddy..

I went to school with Ed, he was always happy and told some great jokes. I haven’t seen him since High School but I never forgot him. RIP old friend. Jim Pells

May the beautiful memories you have shared and the wonderful legacy of family that you have built together help to sustain you and give you strength during this most difficult time. May you find some comfort, and peace for your heart, in the love and support of family and friends.
. “Eddie, Eddie, Eddie “ Thank you for being such a fabulous host, and for tolerating a bunch of crazy women taking over your yard every July. Rest In Peace.
Kelly, Lacey, Shelby, EJ you are in my prayers. With love and sympathy, Siobhan. Xoxoxo

Oh my gosh. I am so sorry for this loss for ALL of you. I know he was a big presence in your lives. I am so sorry. I remember him telling me one time about taking you all, or maybe just Lacey, to see, I think-- a Zeppelin or Floyd concert/tribute? He was so excited for that!
In friendship,
Jeanne Grosse

My deepest condolences to the Budai family. Ed was a person that I could truly call "Friend". Having worked together for 3 decades, I was lucky enough to have shared many life experiences with him. He almost always responded with a smile and a laugh.
We watched our children grow, we were blessed to have had our children work with us at Friendly.
He will be severely missed.

What else can be said about Ed, he was a great man, who loves his family and friends, but most of all he had the ability to make you feel like he took you under his wing , like a guidance counselor so to speak. When I was young at work he had the ability to make us young guys feel like we had someone rooting for us and he did just that! When I was no longer a tech , I bought Ed an " Eddy" mug from a band Iron Maiden and put a note inside , about a month or more ago we ran into each other at home Depot and he said he was feeling better, I was happy for him, when we were heading our separate ways he looked back and said " hey kid I still have that cup " ... Thanks for being there for so many of us who needed you and thanks for being the mentor you were
