Obituary of Colette Marie Miller

Colette Marie Miller passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 25, 2023

Colette was born in Manchester New Hampshire on 10/22/52, she was the daughter of Roland Joseph and Simonne Delaunay Dery.

On January 6, 1973 Colette married Donald C Miller at St Joseph’s Cathedral, Manchester NH and they started their life together raising their family in Dutchess County NY.

Colette retired from Vassar Hospital after 30 years of service where she worked as a computer operator. 

Colette was a twelve-year Myrtle Beach resident where she and her husband had built their dream home after retirement and always had an open door to whomever wanted to come visit.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Donald C Miller on August 11, 2020

Colette loved the beach and she was a self-proclaimed movie critic and would often quote her favorite lines. She loved reading her Mystery Novels and was a big fan of Elvis and his music

Colette was always like a second mom and nana to all her children and grandchildren’s friends; she was such a thoughtful and loving person always putting everyone else first.

Colette is survived by her children Lisa and Sean Hubbard Sr of Poughkeepsie; Jeffrey Miller and Jen of Tunkhannovk, Pennsylvania; Alyson and Robert Ohlhoff of Benson, North Carolina - Grandchildren Martika Hubbard (Kyle),Sean Hubbard Jr (Jaimie),Kristine Miller (Quinn), Robert Ohloff, Jeremy Ohloff - brother and sister in law Michael and Gail Dery; sisters and brothers in law Jacqueline and Stanley Beck and Suzanne and Mike Nichols and several nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews as well as other family and adored friends. She also leaves behind Samantha (Sammy) her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who gave her so much love and happiness  

A celebration of life will be held on May 20, 2023, from 10 am to 12:30 pm at the Timothy P Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave Poughkeepsie, New York 12603. A prayer service will follow at 12:30 pm 

Memorial donations can be made in Colette’s name to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital
