Obituary of Doris Bennett

Doris M. Bennett, 95, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at the Lutheran Care Center.  Born on October 25, 1927 in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Erna Rexhouse Krom.  Doris married Kenneth Bennett on July 21, 1956 in Rhinebeck, NY.  Her husband predeceased her on January 24, 2009.  She had worked at Western Printing for 34 1/2 years.   Doris bowled in the Western Mix League.  She enjoyed working in her Rock Garden and in her home that her husband built and a second home, which is a Stone Coach house.  She vacationed in Myrtle Beach and Florida every winter.  Doris is survived by her sister Margaret (James) Barry of Poughkeepsie and her brother George (Mary) Krom of Kingston, as well as many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband Kenneth, she was also predeceased by her brother, Arthur Krom, Jr. and sisters Mary Spilbor and Eleanor Perkins Reimuth.  A direct and private service will be held.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Timothy P.
