Obituary of Joseph F. Ciraolo Sr.

Joseph F. Ciraolo Sr., 64, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away at home surrounded by his family on July 24, 2023. He was born on November 28, 1958, in Bronx, New York to the late Salvatore and the late Virginia (Frielie) Ciraolo.

He was a Self-Employed General Contractor.

Joseph was a 30-year local resident formerly of Mahopac, New York, and the Bronx.

Joseph was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Wappingers Falls, New York. He loved to hunt and fish. 

He was the husband of Elizabeth D. Vallejo, they were married in Putnam County on October 9, 1982.

Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Ciraolo Poughkeepsie New York, his children Joseph F Ciraolo II of New Milford Ct., Nicholas J. Ciraolo Sr. and his wife Christie of Poughkeepsie NY., Elizabeth A. Ciraolo of Hyde Park NY., his 11 grandchildren Alexa Elliot, Mason Elliot, Isabella Ciraolo, Miranda Ciraolo, Nicholas Ciraolo Jr., Joseph Ciraolo III, Paisley Ciraolo, Carlito Durante, Vincenzo Durante, Lucia Ciraolo, Jovanni Ciraolo, brothers Jack Ciraolo and wife Lucy, Salvatore Ciraolo and wife Denise, Anthony Ciraolo and wife Mary and several nieces and nephews.

Joseph was predeceased by his daughter Danielle L. Ciraolo on March 16, 2018.

Friends may call on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held August 3, 2023 at 10:00 AM from St Mary's Church, 11 Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls, NY. Interment will take place in Fishkill Rural Cemetery, Fishkill, NY.
