Obituary of Daniel J. D'Angelo

Daniel “Danny” D’Angelo, 61, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 12th, 2023.

Danny was the youngest of four children to Dolores (Dodie) and Andrew D’Angelo on February 26, 1962, in Poughkeepsie, NY. He was a graduate of Arlington High School. He married Susan Connors in 1985 and had two children. He worked in independent trucking for many years and resided in Florida. He was an avid sports fan. He had enjoyed playing baseball with the Arlington Grill and loved watching the New York Mets and the Washington Redskins. He enjoyed spending his time with friends and family the most. 

He was predeceased by his parents, Dolores (Howe) D’Angelo and Andrew D’Angelo, as well as his brother, David D’Angelo and sister-in-law Diana D'Angelo.

He is survived by his two children: Dr. Kyla D’Angelo and son-in-law Wilson Lopez Jr, of West Hartford CT, and Danielle D’Angelo of Poughkeepsie NY; his sister Susan Meister and husband Dave Meister of Boca Raton FL, his brother Andrew (Drew) D’Angelo and wife Mary D’Angelo of Hyde Park NY, his three beloved grandchildren: Elena Lopez, Isabella Fragoso and Sophia Fragoso, his nieces/nephews: Jessica, Nichole, Ben, Aaron, and Sarah; and their children. 

Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, from 4pm to 8pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10am on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Holy Trinity Church, 775 Main Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. 

Burial will follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery in Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
