Obituary of Inez C Vess

Inez Callie Foster Vess, 99, of Poughkeepsie New York died Saturday, September 9, 2023 at home. She was a native of Riverside, in Lewis County, Tennessee. Born November 29, 1923 She was retired from Hudson River Psychiatric Center other wise known as Hudson River State Hospital, in Poughkeepsie, New York On October 15, 1944 She married William Robert Vess in Florence, Alabama. Inez in preceded in death by her parents Joe David & Hattie Elizabeth Coffee Foster, husband William (Billy) Robert Vess, two sons William Harvey (Billy) Vess, Robert David (Bob) Vess, and infant daughter Carolyn Elizabeth Vess along with one granddaughter Lynette Vess. She was also preceded by her brother Albert Foster, and sisters Dora Gray, Eva Brewer, Unave Willis Sells, Georgia Hardiman and Betty Byers. Inez is survived by her granddaughter Rebecca Lynn (Becky) Lambert and three grandsons David Vess Eric Vess and Robert David Vess Jr. Three great grandsons and five great granddaughters, several nieces and nephews along with two very special friends and caregivers Teresa Genco and Denise Walden. A Memorial service will be held Friday, September 15, 2023 from 10 AM till 1 PM at Timothy P.
