Obituary of Terra B Albertson
Terra Beya Albertson passed away peacefully on November 26, 2023, at her home in Poughkeepsie, NY at the age of 78.
She was born on August 22, 1945, in Ellenville, NY to Ella (Brown) and Albert C Spence where she and her siblings, Albert, James, Dennis, and Shirley were raised.
Terra married David R Albertson from Poughkeepsie, NY, on August 24, 1963. They settled in his hometown of Poughkeepsie. Terra started married life as a homemaker and eventually had a long and successful career working with plants at Mark Adam’s Greenhouse. She shared her knowledge and love of gardening with everyone she knew. She was even a published author on the subject. Terra also loved golf and especially loved bowling. Her passion for bowling got her inducted into the bowling hall of fame for Dutchess County. Her greatest joy was surrounded by family and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchild.
Although her marriage to David did not last, they remained friends throughout and loving parents. Terra went on to find love again with David (Davis) Nauta. They shared a love of golf and the outdoors and their pups Spencer and Jack.
She is predeceased by her parents and sister Shirley Spence, her brothers James Spence and Dennis Spence, and her dear partner Davis.
She is survived by her brother Albert her children, Greg, Traci and Matthew, eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Terra’s memory to Hospice Foundation Of America - Thank you for making a difference.
A private Grave Side Service is planned for immediate family members only on Monday December 4th 2023.
