In loving memory of David Mesnick, May 20, 1946 - January 28, 2024 David Mesnick, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away on January 28, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories. He was married to his devoted wife, Vita Giangrasso Mesnick, for 48 beautiful years. David was a proud and loving father to his children, Matthew Francis Mesnick (wife Catherine Mesnick) and Elizabeth Mary Treverton (husband Shane Treverton). He also held a special place in his heart for his four angel babies who were taken too soon. His roles as a grandfather brought immense joy to his life. He adored his grandsons, Maxim, Hunter, and Jack Treverton, and treasured the time he spent with them, creating lasting memories. David was the son of Francis and Deloris Mesnick, who instilled in him values of kindness, hard work, and compassion. His two brothers, Frank (wife Elizabeth) and Robert Mesnick (wife Gina), shared a deep bond of brotherhood, and his late sister, Virginia Paul (husband Robert Paul), now reunited with him in heaven, remained forever in his heart. David proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, stationed at the Pentagon. His honorable service reflected his deep commitment to his country, and he will always be remembered for his bravery and sacrifice. He furthered his education and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Youngstown University. With his sharp mind and passion for technology, David embarked on a successful career as a Bank Programmer, leaving a lasting impact on the industry. David had a warm and inviting personality that left an indelible mark on everyone he met. His kindness, sense of humor, and generous spirit touched the lives of many. He had a knack for bringing joy and laughter to any gathering, and his presence will be deeply missed. A viewing to honor David’s life will be held on February 1, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, located at 371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Mass celebrating his life will take place on February 2, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. Martin Church, followed by his burial at St. Peters Cemetery. David Mesnick will forever be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, doting grandfather, and cherished friend. His memory will live on through the countless lives he touched and the love he shared with all. May he rest in eternal peace.
