Obituary of Barbara A. Turner

Barbara A. Turner 70 of the Town of Poughkeepsie, passed away on January 30, 2024, at Westchester Medical Center.

Barbara was born on October 1, 1953, in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of George and Charlotte Edmonds Beatty Sr.

Barbara was a resident all of her life and a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School.

On August 19, 1989, Barbara married James Francis Turner in Poughkeepsie. James predeceased her on February 12, 2022.

Barbara is survived by her children James Bell Jr. of Hyde Park, Shawn Bell and his Fiance Jenn Lassi of Hyde Park, Jamie Otis and Dathon of Poughkeepsie, 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, her brothers Teddy Beatty of Kentucky, George Beatty Jr. of Plattsburgh and her dog Ruby.

Barbara was predeceased by her daughter Tammy Bell in 2023.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 10 am to 11 am. Burial will be private at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
