Obituary of Joann Davis

JoAnn Davis 63 of Poughkeepsie NY passed away peacefully on February 4th, 2024 at Westchester Medical Center.
JoAnn was born in Bronx NY to her loving parents Joseph and Marie Ferrante on November 13th, 1960. She attended school at Roy c Ketcham High School in Wappingers Falls NY.
After her schooling, she met her best friend and soul mate Kevin Davis who on August 21st, 1987 she married. They remain happily married for 36 years.
JoAnn enjoyed many things in life such as writing poetry, drawing, and cooking. Over the years she has participated in league bowling and also belonged to APA pool team.
JoAnn was known for being an outgoing, strong, kind, and loving woman with a tough loving, and selfless nature. Shown by her willingness to raise her predeceased brothers' children as if they were her own. And being a mother figure to her nephew Christopher Ferrante. Her many titles included daughter, sister, wife, and aunt. But her most rewarding title was loving grandma to Violet Ferrante.
She is survived by her loving husband Kevin Davis, brother Peter Ferrante, 12 nieces and nephews, granddaughter, several aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews, and many in-laws.
JoAnn was predeceased by her brother Thomas Ferrante,  mother Marie D'Ambra, father Joseph Ferrante, and stepfather Anthony D'Ambra
Arrangements and calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 11th, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Timothy P Doyle Funeral Home located at 371 Hooker Ave Poughkeepsie NY.
