Obituary of Susan A. Dooris

Susan A. Dooris, 72, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on February 26, 2024. She was born on April 27, 1951, in Rochester, Minnesota to the late Orville L. and the late Shirley H. (Senecal) Hagen.

Susan went to Nativity School in Poughkeepsie and was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School Class of 1969.

She was a Housekeeper and also worked in the dining area at Marist College. For over 20 years Susan also worked for Aloy's Restaurant in Poughkeepsie.

Susan also was the owner of Simply Exotic Birds in Poughkeepsie.

She was the wife of Bruce Dooris, they were married on August 17, 2005, in Las Vegas Nevada.

Susan was a member of the Mid-Hudson Bird Society. She was a breeder of German Shepherds, loved going to the Casinos, playing BINGO, Trips to Cape Cod, Mexico, painting, and crocheting.

Survivors include spouse Bruce Dooris Poughkeepsie New York, son and daughter-in-law Paul A. and Robyn Longi Ballston Spa New York, daughter and son-in-law Kristina A. and Joseph Granieri Highland New York, grandchildren Paul Jr., Mallory, James, Camryn, Harper, Wynn, sister Lisa Legnane, brother Joseph Bruno, several nieces, and nephews and was predeceased by her sister Debbie Hagan-McCray.

Friends may call on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.
