Obituary of Hugo Becker

Hugo Becker, 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 22nd 2024 at home with his wife Arlene and son Patrick by his side.
He was born on May 10, 1937 in Baden- Baden, Germany. He immigrated to the United States in 1956 and joined the US Air Force from 1957 to 1963. Upon returning home to New York, he was employed by IBM as an Advisory Engineer for 27 years until his retirement in 1992.
Hugo married his wife, Arlene Germinaro, on February 14th, 1975. Together they took many trips to Europe as well as shared a passion for antiques as well as a small antique business.
Hugo started his own company, Becker’s Diversified Services, which he ran from 1998 to his retirement for the second time in 2012.
Hugo is survived by his wife, Arlene, son Patrick from a previous marriage, brother- in- law Bruce Germinaro and his wife Carol as well as brother- in- law Wayne Germinaro and his wife Linda. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Hugo was predeceased by his brother, Gunter Becker, and sister, Rosemary Gutmann. There are no calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
