I have fond memories as a patient of Dr. Maciale. As a young girl going through puberty and worried how braces would affect my looks in school, he assured me if I wore the ugly headgear first I’d only have to wear braces for a year or two instead of 5 and I’d have them off before my Junior prom. He kept that promise to me and I have a beautiful smile to thank him for. His dry sense of humor won’t be forgotten and his kindness as well. When I was in need of a job out of high school and home from college he hired me as an office assistant. He will always be remembered.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. Dr. Masciale was an important part of putting smiles on my husband and both of my children. I enjoyed seeing both of you when you came into where I worked. We thought of you often. May your memories comfort you.

Dr. Masciale made going to the orthodontist FUN! One time, as a teen in the mid-1980s, I was sitting in the dentist chair wearing some ridiculous-looking sandals of the era when Dr. Masciale walked by, looked down at my sandals, drily said, "Do you know how many boxes of THOSE I have moved?" and kept on walking. Today, as a mother myself of a few daughters, this is even funnier. Thank you, Dr. Masicale, for making my years in braces enjoyable. He was a wonderful man and I send my deepest sympathy to his family.

My heart broke when I heard the news this morning of Dr. Masciale's passing. He was recently on my mind as I recounted (yet again) the story of "how I go into Georgetown University." Dr. Masciale was my orthodontist, but more importantly he was my alumni interviewer when I applied to Georgetown University. He planted the seed years before and he made me believe I could attend Georgetown. He had a profound impact on my life, and for that he will forever have a special place in my heart. I have humbly tried to pay forward what he did for me by becoming an alumni interviewer myself. My deepest condolences to Mrs Masciale, his daughters, and all of his family. dr masciale was my orthodontist twice...once as an awkward teen and then again when i was 30 (still awkward). he was as charming the second time around as he was the first. thanking him for doing his best to bring a beautiful smile to my face. he will be greatly missed. love and sincere condolences to mrs masciale and his daughters. what a life. what a legacy. what a loss.

Thank you to Dr. Masciale for his wonderful work as an orthodontist. My children Elliott and Sally who are now 34 and 32 were patients of Dr. Masciale.! It was always fun to enter that modern building in Wappingers! May his memory be blessing.

I am so sorryto hear if Dr Masciale's passing. He was always such a joy to see (and since that usually involved tightening braces, that's saying alot). I was scared of the dentist, but always looked forwarded to seeing Dr Masciale and STILL sing his praises today!
