Obituary of James F. Guernick

James F. Guernick, 76, passed away on April 27, 2024 at home surrounded by family. Born on August 8, 1947 to Francis and Kathrine Guernick in the Bronx, James went to work as a signal man for Metro North.

James Moved up to the Hudson Valley in 1978, where he became a member of St. Martins Church and often seen bowling or volunteering with the local PBA. He married Anitt Cardinale in 1988 but then remarried Jean Marie Korral in 2006.

James is survived by His sons John A. Guernick of Marlboro Ny, and James D Guernick of Las Vegas, NV., along with his grandchildren Andrea, Lorenzo, and Joshua. He also leaves behind his siblings Elizabeth Schemitsch of South Carolina, Barbara Guernick of South Carolina, and Robert Guernick of Tennessee.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2024, From 5 pm till 7:30pm, with services being held at 7:30pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie N. Y. 12603
