I worked with and for William over a twenty-year period and what developed was also a friendship. I would sometimes be in his office where he had a bookcase filled with some collected items. One of them was a Dunkin Donut mug which was new and unused. He did not use the mug and it just sat on the shelf. It was one of those big 16oz size that just seemed perfect.
Bill retired in May 12 years ago and I left that September. Just prior to him leaving he was cleaning out his office and I stopped in to see how it was going. I was leaving his office When he turned and said to me, “Rich is there anything here you want”. It took about 3 seconds for me to realize a dream come true as the cup would be mine. Not wanting to act to excited I said,” Well, if you do not want it, I will just take this old unused mug”.
I am a better person for knowing Bill Fluck and having a person whose integrity was unmatched and his friendship never faltered.
I moved to North Carolina the following January, But the mug has remained with me and each morning I use it. It is a reminder of wonderful time in my life of shared memories and friendships. My mornings pouring my coffee are a little sadder, but the golden memories are still there. So, thank you William Fluck for making my days brighter for knowing you. Rich Morrison

My deepest sympathy to Bill’s family. Bill and I worked together for many years at Probation and I have many fond memories of him. He was dedicated to his job and was a mentor to many starting in the field. He will be missed but his legacy will live on.

Bill was truly one of the pillars of our dept. He was always well respected by everyone, great supervisor and an exceptional Deputy Director. So sorry to hear of his passing, Very sorry for tour loss.

I am so saddened to learn of Bill's passing. He and I started at about the same time at the Dutchess County Probation Department in 1975 and grew to be good friends. We played softball with the Department, partied with everyone and did lots of fun stuff together. Most of all, we supported one another at work.
Even after I left the Department to become an FBI Agent we stayed in touch and no matter how much time elapsed between our reconnecting- there was always a joy and a feeling good friendship that came back!!
He was a great guy with integrity and pride in his work- a credit to the Probation system.
I will miss my old friend.

To the Fluck family. Mary Ellen and I send our sincere condolences for your loss. I myself have many fond memories of our youth growing up in Ireland Estates during the "Wonder Years". Plenty of kids running around , playing baseball, basketball and football at the park on Over rocker Rd. May you rest in peace my friend. Our apologies for not being able to attend the memorial service, as we are visiting family out of town.

To Bill's entire family I am saddened to hear of his passing. I worked with Bill for many years at the DC Probation Dept up until his retirement.
