Obituary of Lori D. Phillips
Lori Phillips, 61, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 4th, 2024. Born in Poughkeepsie, NY on December 28th, 1962, to Robert and Shirley Phillips.
She grew up in Poughquag, NY, and attended Arlington CSD.
Lori’s greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother. She was known for her kindness, generosity, infectious smile, exuberant laugh, and ability to give and take a good joke. She had a green thumb, making a garden with any space she was given. An excellent baker, her boys always looked forward to birthdays where she’d make each of their favorite homemade cakes, even well into adulthood. Lori loved caring for and giving to others, often putting herself last. She loved watching and listening to the birds outside and couldn’t wait to be reunited with her beloved parents who she missed dearly.
In addition to her parents, she is also predeceased by her nephew Kevin Dutcher.
Lori is survived by her children, Thomas (Jennifer), Nicholas (Elizabeth), and Douglas (Megan) Wohlfahrt, Grandchildren, Madison, Austin, Jackson, Lucas, Parker, and Michael, siblings, Jodi Passaro, Jackie (Charlie) Dutcher, and Kenneth and KarenPhillips, nieces, nephews, and many friends near and far.
Friends and family are invited to gather on Friday, May 10th, 2024, from 4 pm-7 pm. at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, NY 12603
There will be a burial at Beekman Cemetery in Poughquag, NY at 11 am on Saturday, May 11th, 2024, and a celebration of life at the Beekman Firehouse immediately following.
