Obituary of Gina LaPan

Gina LaPan, 88, died at home on June 10, 2024.  She was born February 28, 1936 in Mt. Vernon, NY, the daughter of Dominic and Mary Bionda. Gina graduated from a Business Secretarial school and worked in NYC until she met and married Donald D. LaPan of Poughkeepsie.  At the age of 36 Gina was tragically widowed and left to raise her three children, Deborah Pucylowski (of Poughkeepsie), Michael LaPan (of Montana) and Mary Jean Ruiz (of Cold Spring, NY).  For 20 years Gina worked in Attendance at Our Lady of Lourdes High School, then for IBM from where she retired. In addition to her parents and husband, Gina was predeceased by her two brothers, Fr. Guido Bonaventure, OFM and Peter Bionda. Surviving in addition to her three children are their spouses, John Pucylowski,  Judy LaPan, Alberto Ruiz and her six loving grandchildren, Teressa and Sara Pucylowski, Matthew and Mark LaPan and Deegan and Daniel Ruiz. Visition hours are on Sunday, June 16th from 1-3pm at Timothy Doyle Funeral Home in Poughkeepsie.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 17th at 10am at Holy Trinity Church in Poughkeepsie.  Burial to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetary.
