Obituary of Aileen D Gallagher

On 8 June 2024 Aileen Dawn Stofan Gallagher returned home to be with God.
Born March 1939 to Joseph V. Stofan and Dorothy M. (Odell) Stofan in Cold Spring, NY. She graduated from Mount St Mary Academy.
She married the love of her life Harold A. Gallagher in Sept 1957; he predeceased her in Oct 2009. Aileen enjoyed many travel adventures with
Harold, with their children and with their grandchildren. She loved to read, was an avid doll collector and enjoyed flea markets. Aileen retired after more than 25 years with IBM.
She is survived by daughter Kimberley, son Christopher and his wife Janice, son Gregory and his wife Karen. Grandchildren Kayla Appleholm and fiancé Jason Scism, Ryan and Kristin Gallagher, and Kyle, Steven, and Erin Gallagher. Great grandchildren Lily and Lucas Scism, who gave her so much joy. Her brother Joseph Stofan and his wife Elaine, niece Wendy and nephew Tim, and numerous other family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Ethel Gallagher, Karla Stofan, Robert Appleholm, and many other close family members.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Dutchess County SPCA in her honor.
Calling Hours will be held Friday June 14, 2024, from 10am to 12pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603, Funeral Service will follow at 12pm. Burial will be at the Fishkill Rural Cemetery Route 9 Fishkill, NY.
