Obituary of Robin M. Smith

Robin M. Smith, 71, of Poughkeepsie, NY, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2024. Born on June 14, 1953, in Poughkeepsie New York to William and Katherine Smith, Robin was a graduate of Ketcham High School. She enjoyed a rewarding career as a ski instructor at Catamount, a passion she shared with the Hudson Valley Ski Club. In addition to her love of skiing, Robin found joy and solace in gardening. She was preceded in death by her lifelong partner, Michael Winkler. Robin is survived by loving family and friends Elizabeth Partridge of Poughkeepsie, NY, Tracy and John Jacobs of Lagrangeville, NY , Caroline and Edward Sullivan of Pleasant Valley, NY. and nieces and nephews. Robin’s legacy of love, adventure, and passion for the outdoors will live on in the hearts of those she left behind.
