I am so grateful for the time I got to spend with Chip. I remember him from when I was a child, but only got to get close to him over the last 5 years. He treated me like his own daughter and took me into his family with open arms. I got to see how kind, caring, and fun-loving he was. It was evident how much he loved his family, his best boy Ki, and all of his beautiful plants. It was so uplifting to see his smiling face when I said something silly, or the twinkle in his eyes when he showed me how pretty his flowers were on the front porch. I loved tossing toys for Ki and giving him lots of pets and hugs, and it was always heartwarming to see Chip get so much joy out of that. We enjoyed some of my lunch breaks together when I brought him home his favorite fish sandwich. When I stayed with him he never failed to offer to cook a nice meal for dinner when I was tired after work. He was sweet, generous, frank, funny, and very loving. I miss him dearly.

Oh, there are so many memories with you Dad. However; the most valuable memories to me are the ones we have made over the last few years. While they were not always rewarding, sometimes very challenging I will never change or take back one moment. Our father was a strong and resilient man stubborn most times but had a heart of gold.

I have many fond memories of my father. I will always miss him. I remember the way he used to flip out when we put peanut butter in his mouth around him. He hated peanut butter. It would be so funny. Kids do that to him. He will be missed and always be loved.
