Mariman Sayej

Obituary of Mariman Nesheiwat Sayej

Nariman Sayej, 70, passed away on September 23, 2024, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. She was born on October 27, 1953, in Amman, Jordan to the late Eid Nesheiwat and Rougina Jweinat-Nesheiwat. Nariman was a radiant spirit whose love and kindness touched everyone she met.

Her caring nature and infectious laughter brightened even the darkest days, making those around her feel cherished and valued. With a unique ability to make every moment special, Nariman's beauty—both inside and out—was reflected in her warm smile and generous heart, leaving a lasting impression on all who were fortunate to know her. She loved spending time at the beach, fishing, cooking, crafting, singing, and enjoying lively times at the casino. Above all, her love for her family was paramount, and she cherished each moment spent with them. She will be remembered most for doting on her grandchildren, who she showered with endless love and affection.

In addition to her parents Eid and Rougina Nesheiwat, Nariman was predeceased by her husband Nabih Sayej (2014), her sisters Nawal Sahawneh (1990) and Sabah Hello (2014) and her brother Muneer (Tony) (2022). Nariman  is survived by her siblings: Nabil (Mike), Adel, Mousa, Najah and Munther (Monte); her five children and their spouses: Suzan Alsunna (Ali Alsunna), Wael Sayej (Caroleen Marji Sayej), Sanaa Andrews (Earl Andrews), William Sayej (Amy Sayej), and Siham Sayej (Dwayne Halladeen). She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Mary, Neveen, and Rania Alsunna; Noor and Rania Sayej; Vincent and Myah Andrews; William Jr., Kaitlyn, and Daniel Sayej; and Deavony and Caila Halladeen. She is also survived by her great-granddaughter, Kaylani Sayej, along with many nieces and nephews.
