Obituary of Mary E. Zolzer

Mary Zolzer, a loving mother, daughter, and friend has sadly passed away at the age of 54 in her home surrounded by her children. 

Mary was more than the titles she carried, more than even an example of these titles. Her kind heart could tend to those around her, her intelligence could fix any problem, her patience could guide an army, her beauty and charm could make anyone smile. Mary lived her life for those around her, especially her children. Her strong willed nature, independence, strength, and confidence inspired them on a daily basis. Mary’s love and draw to caretaking also led her to adopting so many dogs throughout her lifetime, and to being an animal lover of all kinds. When Mary was not taking her of those around her, she was enjoying working as Office Manager of Adams Fairacre Farms in Wappingers Falls. She loved her job, not only for the people she was surrounded by but also because of how it empowered her. Mary also enjoyed the summer, the beach, and especially vacationing with family and friends anywhere warm. When Mary was traveling, she always filled the time with carpool karaoke. Mary could find sunshine in situation, could dance in the rain, and could embrace life’s challenges with a magnetic smile. Her life was a testament to love, kindness, determination, and a deep love for those around her. 

Visitation for Mary's friends and family will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2024 from 4pm till 7pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, in Poughkeepsie.

In addition to flowers, the family kindly welcomes donations to CARE of DC, The Compassionate Animal Rescue Efforts of Dutchess County, an organization very dear to Mary’s heart.
