Obituary of Brunina Tassone

Brunina Tassone 86 of Salt Point, New York passed away on January
14, 2025.
Brunina was born on January 7, 1939 in Serra San Bruno Italy, she
was the daughter of the late Raffaele and the late Assunta Candeloro
Borello.
On April 23, 1966 in Italy, Brunina married Oreste Tassone who
predeceased her in 2005. Together they immigrated from Italy and
were proud to become American Citizens together in 2002.
Brunina was a Seamstress at the Town Shop in Poughkeepsie for 30
years where she touched thousands of dresses and lives over the
decades.
Brunina was a local resident for over 40 years, previously from Italy.
She loved to cook, sew and knit for her family. She was a wonderful
and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed life to
the fullest.
Brunina is survived by her son and daughter in-law Giuseppe and
Stephanie Tassone of Salt Point, New York, daughter and son in-law
Maria and Eugenio Bizzarro of Rock Hill South Carolina,
grandchildren Adrianna, Dante, Saverio, Savanna, sisters Titina
Zaffino and Elena Feola, as well as many nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Brunina was predeceased by Vincenzo Borello, Maria Borello, Benita
Girda and Lina Giancotti.
Calling Hours will be held on Thursday January 23, 2025 from 5pm to
8pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave.
Poughkeepsie, New York 12603.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am Friday January 24, 2025
at St. Stanislaus Church Main Street Pleasant Valley New York 12569.
Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery Salt Point Turnpike
Poughkeepsie, New York 12603.
