We are so saddened by this tragedy.Even though my girls didn't know Richie, they are sad because i am sad. My family has never seen a tear fall from these eyes until last night.I am so sorry for your loss and there is comfort knowing he is with GOD.When there is death, there are memories and the need for families to unite and share what little life we have left to share as a family. My prayers are with you all, and of course my love and the blessings of my girls to all of you.

To Rich's family and friends: My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. I went to high school with Rich. He will always be remembered. I will always remember him best rollerskating backwards at "The Rink" on Friday nights.

I met and hired Ritchie when i was the Business Manager at the DCSPCA. He would plow the snow for the winter. What a great fellow. Since then, I had bumped into him at his favorite pizza parlor, Dough Boys, and even shot pool with him and his wife. He will be sorely missed. I am so sorry for the family; Ritchie was a great family man and dog owner.

Dear Cynthia and family, I was deeply saddened to learn of Rich's death. Last fall he did a wonderful job of landscaping around my home, for which I continually receive compliments. In the little time I had come to know Rich, he had spoken so much about his family. My prayers are offered that you may be blessed to find the strength to carry you through the difficult times and faith to reassure you that grief will soften and love will always endure. Since I am unable to attend the funeral service, I will call you within a few weeks, as I would like to visit with you for a few minutes.
