Obituary of Rose Wiltse
Rose Wiltse, Age 78 of Poughkeepsie passed away peacefully on August 10, 2011. Rose was a life long resident of the Dutchess County area. Rose Wiltse was born on March 5, 1933 to Frank and Rose Ingoglia. Rose had three brothers and two sisters, four of which have predeceased her and is survived by her youngest sister Virginia Ingalls. On January 24, 1961, she married Howard B. Wiltse, who predeceased Rose several years ago. She is survived by their four daughters and their spouses, Celeste Vumbico-Wiltse and Marc Vumbico, of Poughkeepsie, Ronda and George Schmidt of Stony Point, Marcia and Bill Avezzano, of Salt Point, Beth and Sean Cassidy of Salt Point; and her nine grandchildren, Joseph, Nicole, Samantha, Nicholas, Emily, Matthew, Billy, Ryan, Aidan, and also has a new grandchild on the way. Rose is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Rose Wiltse retired from Arlington Central School District Transportation and after retiring Rose was employed part time by A&E Transportation. Rose was blessed with many dear friends that she enjoyed spending time with. Rose was an avid fan of horse racing and she enjoyed Saratoga, Monticello, Atlantic City and spent many wonderful hours with her friends at OTB. Rose had a love for all animals which she instilled in all of her children, always feeding a stray or taking in an unwanted animal in need. Calling hours are on Friday August 12, 2011 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Avenue Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am Saturday August 13, 2011 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church of St Peters Parish, with Father James A. Garisto Officiating. Burial will follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, any donations be made to Hudson Valley Animal Rescue and Sanctuary in Rose WiltseâÂÂs name.
