Obituary of Dolores Jean Long

Dolores Jean Long, 81, passed away January 2, 2012 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. A resident of Poughkeepsie since 1962, she was born June 17, 1930 in Franconia Township, PA, the daughter of Floyd and Marian Bloom Souder. She attended schools in Pennsylvania. Dolores was a retired cook for Take Five Deli, Howard Johnson in Poughkeepsie and Poughkeepsie Day Nursery. She loved to garden and read and loved her NY Yankees. Dolores is survived by her daughter Deborah H. Loeser of Poughkeepsie; daughters and sons-in-law Pamela & David Parise of Pleasant Valley, NY and Mary Ellen & Jason Krueger of Sparta, Missouri; son Greg Long of Poughkeepsie; grandchildren Shannon Robinson, Keith Loeser, Nicole Loeser, Christopher Seal, Shawn Seal, Ashley Krueger, Matthew Krueger & Haley Peterson-Traver and great-grandchild Ryan Seal. She was predeceased by her daughter Lori Seal and also by two brothers and a sister. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2012 from 4-7pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
