Obituary of Anna DiStefano

Anna M. DiStefano, 87, of the town of Poughkeepsie died Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at The Pines at Poughkeepsie. Born in Beacon, NY on January 16, 1924, Anna was the daughter of the late George and Anna Senchak Trochan. She married Joseph S. DiStefano on September 2, 1945 at St. Joachim's Church in Beacon, NY. Her husband predeceased her on April 10, 1987. Anna is survived by her daughter Joanne DiStefano of Poughkeepsie, NY, her daughter and son-in-law Cheryl and Jeffrey Benedict of Poughkeepsie, NY and her granddaughter Morgan Benedict of Las Vegas, NV and grandson Kyle Benedict of Las Vegas, NV. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sisters Mary Allen, Agnes Krawiec, Frances Trochan and Rose Marie Trochan and her brother John Trochan. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 6, 2012 from 4:00 - 7:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30am on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
