Obituary of Meg Ellen Case

Meg Ellen Misove Case, 35, of Pleasant Valley, NY, passed away Peacefully yet unexpectedly on January 11, 2012, with her husband, Scott, at her side in Baltimore, MD while traveling. She was born on September 27, 1976 in Kingston, NY at Benedictine Hospital. Meg was predeceased by her father, Paul A. Misove in 1990. She is survived by her husband, Scott and stepchildren, Skyler and Sonny. Meg also leaves behind her mother and stepfather, Colleen and James R. Hansen and her loving sisters and brother, Amy Misove Plass, Adam Paul Misove and wife, Tammy and nephew, Gavin Paul and Cailin Hansen McAllister and husband, Brendan. On October 10, 2009 Meg and Scott's dream came true as they were the first couple to marry on the Walkway over the Hudson. Meg graduated from Franklin Delano Roosevelt High School in 1996, and attended classes at Dutchess Community College. Meg was employed at Rhinebeck Savings Bank in LaGrangeville. Meg was an avid horseback rider and loved any opportunity she had to work around horses. Her many interests included crafts and she loved scrap booking and all her family cherish the many gifts she created for them. Meg and Scott also enjoyed traveling whether it was for pleasure or for business like their Annual trip to Canada to tag Christmas trees for their business, Bilmar Nurseries. Meg was a very special person whose smile was contagious and touched everyone She met. She loved life, her family and friends and her dog, Buddy. Meg also had loving relationships with other family members, her in-laws, Bryant and Barbara Rawls, brother-in-law, Thomas Case and wife, Alison and their children Kayleigh and Hudson, her Aunt Jaynee and Uncle Tommy Debrosky, Uncle Eric Hansen and wife, Rose, Aunt Denise Hansen-King and husband, Paul as well as Her cousins and their children and her grandfather, James Hansen and wife, Dee. She also cherished her relationships with her friends who were as close as her family. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her Nanny and Poppy Buchanan, Granny and Poppy Misove and Grandma Peggy. Visitation will be held Monday January 16, 2012, from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 9pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A funeral procession will form at 9am Tuesday at the Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10am at Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel in Poughkeepsie with Father James A. Garisto officiating. Burial to follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Pleasant Valley, New York. Memorial donations may be made in Meg's memory to c/o Scott Case, 6 Bilmar Blvd, Pleasant Valley, NY, for a memorial on the Walkway over the Hudson.
