Obituary of Gordon Wood

Gordon Floyd Wood, Jr., age 53, of Hyde Park, passed away suddenly at the age of 53, on Saturday July 14, 2012. Gordan was born March 16, 1959 in Malone, NY. He is the son of the late Gordon Floyd and Janet R. (Debyah) Wood Sr.. He married Virginia A. Larkin on June 4, 2000 at Valley Christian Church Hopewell Jct. He was predeceased by his wife, Virginia A. Larkin on October 15, 2008 and also a brother Dale in 1998. He served in the Marine Corps. He was employed by Package Pavement as a Quality Control Coordinator. He is survived by ; his mother Janet R. Mayville of Wingdale, NY; a sister and brother in-law, Deborah and Jerome Hoag of Welaka, Florida; a brother and sister in-law Darrell and Leslie Wood of South Plymouth, NY; a sister and brother in-law Sandra and George Brown of Ormond Beach, Florida and a brother Gary of Wingdale, NY. Gordan is also survived by 9 nieces and nehews, 3 stepsons, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren who were the love of his life, Davina, Xavier and 9 Aunts and Uncles. Calling hours will be held 1pm to 3pm Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
