8 years apart...I was the thorn in his side...the little sister he referred to as "squirt" or "brat". He made me walk 8 steps behind him & his friends when our parents made him walk me to St Jeromes...told me at 8 to "Come back when you're 12" when I asked him to teach me to play Monopoly...sibling rivalry at its finest! The day he graduated from Aviation High School was the first day he was nice to me and gave me one of those cardboard airplanes...I still have it to this day! I will miss his contagious laugh...his warm heart...his protectiveness...("That's no chick...that's my little sister!); his dumb jokes..being Mom's favorite ('anything for my Eddie") and memories of him and Maureen imitating Bugs Bunny on Easter "I want Easter Egg! I want Easter Egg!" Gentle Giant...forever in my heart...reunited with Mom, Dad and Billy. Rest in Paradise Big Brother!

I remember Ed long ago playing outside his home on 34th St. in Brooklyn, running up and down the stairs and going to the Deli with us.
Ten years my junior as cousins we where naturally not that close, yet it always seemed as though we where closer than close. Because at each gathering we opened up our hearts and shared the deepest of emotions.
Ed was a fun loving soul with a big heart and a hard working guy who spent many years struggling with inner battles.
This never changed the goodhearted person he was. He loved in youth bringing into this world a wonderful son. He loved again more deeply a wonderful woman Toni-Ann a love returned twofold that spread to her family.
The Ed we all knew and loved will be missed. But the silent Ed will walk with us everyday! Unseen unheard but always there with us as he was in life.

May you find strength in each others love. It will be the little things that you remember, the quiet moments together. It will be these memories that help to push away the pain and through the tears the sun will begin to shine when you least expect it. All our deepest sympathy, Vickie Jay, Ellie and George
