Dear Steven, I still remember your kind hearted laughter and easy smile. Although it's been over 30 years since I've seen you, I was just thinking about you the other day and I was both shocked and deeply saddened to hear of your passing. I've lit a candle for you, the flame is as bright as the memories of you. Rest in Peace my friend. You will be missed.

I can't say enough about my brother in law. He was the kindest and most sincere person I have ever met. I will truly miss him as well as the rest of us. I can say I am a better husband, father and neighbor due to the lesson I've learned from Stephen. Enjoy your peppers and eggs with Big Al in heaven.

I knew Steve from the 80's working in the Rustler Steakhouse and also from IBM today. Steve could always make you laugh and was always fair at IBM in his management role. I will miss Seeing Steve's Smile in the hallways and I wish to send my sincerest sympathies to his friends and family. Steve was a great man and I will miss him.

Steve was a very special man..... and also a big tease but that made him sooo much fun. We also had a little sports rivalry always going on between our Massachusetts teams and the New York teams Steve loved. Sports was always important to my cuz! He always kept us laughing with his great sense of humor and very caring heart. He had such a contagious laugh too!
I am attaching an image of Steve and Cathy with our two boys during one of our visits to New York. I remember during one visit that we had a Boston Cream Pie and Steve got his kids going by calling it a Boston Red Sox cream pie!
Steve will be deeply missed by so many. Love you all.

I all of my Cox cousin family, I am so saddened by the loss of Stephen.
It is hard to get my mind around such a sudden tragedy. When I think of cousin Stephen, I hear "Stevie" in my mind. I recall the fun days at the Weiders home and the pool party/cookouts that Aunt Bernice and Uncle Joe hosted... the diving contests, swimming laps..and those delicous whoopie pies of hers! not sure anyone ever did beat Cindy staying underwater for so many laps. Stevie, and Meg, were like little fish that would stay in the pool for hours. I can still picture Aunt Honey wrapping him up in a towel to get warm. The photo I chose from the gallery is about the age Stephen was when I think of these gatherings.
While we are all living in all parts of the country and don't get to see each other much over recent years, I hold these memories dear to my heart, how much fun we had as cousins when we were young. Stevie matured into Stephen a loving husband, great father, devoted son, great brother... looking at pictures you can still catch a glimmer of the mischievous little Stevie..... May God Bless You Stephen
Love,
Maureen

I never spent time away from work with Steve; I only knew him as a manager. But, even in the relatively short time I knew him, I saw that had a sense of humor, cared deeply for his family, and provided help to his employees when they needed it. He had an open door policy at work and treated people with consideration. They weren't just workers. He touched a lot of lives at IBM and he will be missed. My condolences to his family and friends.

I am so sorry to hear about Steve. It is a tragic loss when a person like Steve leaves this world far too soon. Also when he leaves behind so much. Although I have not seen Steve in many years, I still have fond memories of him. One in particular was when Steve was in his teens and I no more than 10, and my brother Kurt and Steve forced me to be their "fan club" while they played air guitar to the "The Who" and "Rush" for over an hour. Every time I hear one of those bands I think of that experience and smile to myself. I am not sure the same smile will appear next time . I understood that Steve was also an incredible father and family man which makes his passing seem so unfair. I only hope his positive influence during his life can help everyone close to him deal with his departure. Please accept my sincere condolences Paul
