I am truly sorry for your loss of what sounded like a wonderful woman. May your family find comfort in God's Word where He promises soon to "swallow up death forever and...wipe the tears from all faces." (Isaiah 25:8) Until then, please know you are in my prayers.

Hi, Dennis. I was looking for someone else and I saw that God made room for your mother. I say "made room" because folks like your mom (and mine) take up a lot of 'bandwidth', if you know what I mean. The warmth and depth of their personalities...their being who they are requires it. With my mother (she's 85), it's almost like she's done her job as a mother (although she seems to not know that she can relax, now)and just keeps on being my mother). Long and productive lives are in their blood. I didn't know your mother, but I imagine she was a lot like mine...an 'I can do it' kind of woman. In every situation in life (this one and the next) there's give and take...positive and negative. By that analogy, your loss is His gain. We're spiritual beings enjoying a physical existence. God has blessed you by giving you the woman who, in turn, gave you life...your mother...but you knew that she was only on loan. Now she's back home. And in the whole grand scope of things, that's not a bad place to be. As He's given her rest, may He give you peace. BILL

Sal, Dennis & Donna, I met your family 46 years ago and it did not take long before Carole started calling me "Son number 2". Donna always said that it was nice having 2 brothers :) I'll never forget the hours we all spent at the house on Albert Road over the endless cups of coffee. Dennis still carries on that tradition. People would be amazed at how we could have such an enjoyable time just chatting in the kitchen, without any electronic gadgets. Whenever the conversation got too negative, "Mom" would say "Ok, what about..." and we'd be off on another topic. At times, there was a stream of young people in and out of the house and If we got too out of hand, we'd get "the look" but it quickly softened into that pretty smile. I'm proud to still call you all friends after all of these years. Thank You "Mom"
