I am the "little sister" of Bruce and Don Anderson, who were best friends of Earl while we were growing up living on Grand Street. Earl was like another brother to me when I was a child. He was always at our home and treated me as a "little sister" always helping me to learn to ice skate, steer the sled down the green lot hills, and generally watching out for me with my brothers. Earl was very attached to our Mother, and when she passed he graciously drove the family from Poughkeepsie to Massachusetts, where she was laid to rest. Earl always wanted to do for others.
My husband Dave, has many wonderful memories of playing soft ball on the same team with Bruce and Don and Earl as pitcher. Dave says they always had a good team.
Earl looks the same in this picture as I remember him and it has been over 25 years since I last saw him.
Lorraine, I always loved you too and I have great memories of you and Muriel and me....(the little pest!). I was just being the "little sister"..haha.
God Bless you, Lorraine and your wonderful family. You are blessed to have a loving family with you. May Earl rest in peace in heaven. I know you cannot "earn" your way to heaven, but being a good Christian man taking care of God's children certainly makes a difference for all. I know Earl will be sorely missed my so many.
Love and deepest sympathies to all Earl's loved ones from me(Martha) and Dave
