My mom was there for me through everything and she never turned me away when I needed her. Two of my greatest memories with her were the days my kids were born. On March 11, 2010 at 9:59 A.M. I had a baby boy named Matthew John delivered by C-Section and my mom was in the operating room with me and the first thing she said when we heard his first cries was "Look what we did." I was so out of it I asked her how she did anything I made him and she looked at me and said "I made you." On December 24, 2012 at 10:31 A.M. Athena Selene was delivered by C-Section again my mom was in the room with me when I had her only this time instead of both of us crying we both couldn't stop laughing at the fact that Athena pooped on the doctor. She was there with me for the births of both of her grandchildren and she stayed with me in the hospital the whole time I was there with both Matthew and Athena and I will always remind Athena of the lesson my mom taught her about chocolate being a girl's best friend when her, Athena, and I went to the vending machine at the hospital to get chocolate. That was one of the very first girl lessons that my mom tried to teach Athena a.k.a. her "Little Bit" and she also taught Matthew a.k.a. her "Little Man" everything he needed to know to grow up to be a wonderful man. Don't worry mom I will continue to teach your little "Partners in Crime" all the lessons they need to know to become wonderful adults just like their grandma.
