Obituary of Roger Marrin

Roger C. Marrin, age 61, of Poughkeepsie, died Sunday, July 28, 2013 at home in Poughkeepsie. Roger was born March 19, 1952 in New York, NY. He is the son of the late Joseph and the late Mary (Minogue) Marrin. He married Alice Covert on May 14, 1978 in Pleasantville, New York. In 2003 Roger retired from Westchester County where he worked as a Water Treatment Operator. Roger was a member and Assistant Coach for the Town of Poughkeepsie Soccer League, Past member of the Westchester Rotary. Roger was a big sports fan, he loved the Yankees, Jets, Gaints and the Rangers. He also loved to bowl. He is survived by his wife: Alice(Covert) Marrin of Poughkeepsie, NY; two daughters: Jeannette Marrin of St. Louis, MO, Colleen Marrin of Poughkeepsie, NY; two sons: Bryan Marrin of Albany, NY, Kevin Marrin of Washington, DC. Roger is also survived by a brother, Joseph Marrin of Kingston, NY; The funeral will be held 5:30 pm on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 2pm to 6pm at Timothy P.
