My heartfelt condolences to the DeBernardo family. I was a student at Vassar in the mid-'80s, and my first visit to Napoli's was during the first week of my freshman year. Tony always greeted us by name, and when I came back to visit with my husband, years later, Tony pulled out his photo albums, and we looked at pictures of all my friends. It sounds funny, but Tony and Napoli's were an important part of my college experience, and his pizza is still the standard by which I judge all others. Thank you for being there!

At the end of a semester typically when we were taking finals and pulling all-nighters and our checking account balances were low, Tony would tell us to give him a check and he would hold it until he had money in our account. Simply put Tony was a prince and loved by us all and will be greatly missed. I would check the cupboards for uncashed checks. All my thoughts to his loved ones and thank you for sharing him with us all. He was a legend at Vassar.

My condolences go to Mr. DeBernardo's family, and I just want you to know how much Mr. DeBernardo meant to Vassar College students. He was a constant presence in our lives, keeping us going with his delicious pizza on many late nights of studying. It was always wonderful to hear his voice on the phone...and though I only made one visit/pilgrimage to the pizza shop itself, he remembered me when I stopped by many years later, as in 10 years after graduation! Thank you, Mr. DeBernardo...and long live Napoli's!

Tony was a good friend. He all way's made time to listen, and share stories about his life.I would stay and talk for hours at a time.Over the years it got harder to get him to take my money for pizza.I had to leave it on the counter!I respect Tony greatly. He was a compassionate person who will be missed by all who knew and loved him..Farewell Tony!
