Has it already been a year? I think about Doreen often. I saved the memorial birthday picture from the Poughkeepsie Journal and taped it to the back of my date book so she can always be with me and I can see her smiling face. My best wishes go out to Greta, Steve and the rest of the family. I still can't understand how a person who was a "stong life force" could be gone from us.

Thinking of a fellow Waite at this sad time. We have only yesterday had the funeral of my wife's father here in Bristol UK. Amongst all the rain a ray of sunshine came and took him.
My mother June Barbara Waite passed to a better place many years ago aged 47, they say the good die young. God bless my dear, I will think of you on Friday.

My condolences go out to the family who have been through so much. I worked with Doreen for 15 years and then visited for lunch at the hospital to see her. We worked together, had many dinners together at the hospital, went to office Christmas parties together. She helped me when I had a problem, I helped her when she had a problem. She was the joy of the office, always with a clever saying or a funny name for something, always wonderfully cordial on the phone, always caring! I am having a problem picturing a world without her.
