Obituary of Aleda Ahmed

Aleda Ahmed, 89, of Powell, OH died Sunday, November 2, 2014. Born in Yonkers, NY on September 3, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Aleda Deemer. Aleda was a previous resident of Hatfield, PA and she had worked at Quantum Think as a bookkeeper in Philadelphia, PA. On July 14, 1951 Aleda married Alexander E. Ahmed in Yonkers and he survives her. Aleda was a member of the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Powell, OH. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Candace and Mark Roberts of Philadelphia, PA and their children Rhian Roberts (Dong) Jeong, Chelsea and Kendall Roberts, her daughter and son-in-law Alana and Mark Haberman and their children Whitney (Joe) Ames of Aurora, OH, Abby Haberman of Nashville, TN and Bayley Haberman of Cleveland, OH., and her daughter and son-in-law Aleda Ahmed Schafner and Bill Schafner of Woodbridge, VA, son and daughter in-law Alexander and Wendy Ahmed of Poughkeepsie, NY and their children Christopher and Thomas Ahmed of Poughkeepsie, NY and her great-granddaughter Katherine Aleda Ames. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 10:00 - 11:00am at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am following visitation. Burial will follow in the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
