Dear Mr. Doyle, I am reaching out to the family of Mr. Robert John Mikus. I want to let them know how interesting that the obituary for their loved one was to me. I wanted to share with them how inspiring it was to read and learn about “shuffled off this mortal coil.” **** I am writing to comment on the obituary of Mr. Mikus. I live in Wappingers, but to the best of my knowledge I never met Mr. Mikus. I was so impressed with the concept: “That he shuffled off this mortal coil.” I am seventy-eight and this was a new thought concept for me to embrace. I keep copies of the various thoughts that I read in obituaries. My daughter Marilyn Jean-Marie Diesing Boyette transitioned in November 2013 at the age of forty-five. It never dawned on me to write her obituary even though it was an obvious fact that she was going to need one. I believe that this is because I was angry. I came home and went to my computer obituary notes and I had her obituary written in one-half hour using the thoughts that I had saved from the obituaries of others. Her obituary was a cross section of the thoughts expressed in (at least) the obituaries of two or three others who transitioned before her. During this same time frame I also became aware of the word TRANSITIONED. My family is not dying. For awhile we were passing over. Now we are transitioning. My daughter’s Obituary sentiments… SUNRISE, April 13, 1968. The ancestors called forth for the spirit known to us all as Marilyn Jean-Marie Diesing (de Baun) Boyette. Marilyn, exchanged the cares, turmoil and anxiety of this mortal life for immortality. She entered the SUNSET of her life on November 10, 2013 I have our obituaries written for the past fifteen years. I have to tweak them occasionally. Mr. Diesing will have…..entered into his final rest on…. (Might be transitioning) Mrs. Diesing will have… transitioned over to the dimension we know as heaven on…. Please accept my deepest sympathies for the (Transitioning) “shuffling off of your loved one, from this mortal coil.” Sincerely Marilyn J.S. Diesing (Meadowbrook Farm)

It is with sadness to hear of Bob's passing. He was a gem of a guy with always a good old military story at hand, an amusing limerick and could hold his own at any occasion. I admired the pride he held for his family, his Russian heritage, and his military career. The Stratton VA watched over Bob well - Jodi and many good friends providing Bob with the small evening consumptions that he loved so well. Thoughts and prayers to the Mikus family - and to Bob - may the heavens provide you the rest and peace you deserve...I am sure they will have plenty of work for you when you are ready..Blessings and love, dear fellow -

I'm very sorry for the loss of Bob. I enjoyed visiting him at the Albany VA. He had a great sense of humor and had great stories as well. I'm happy to know he is now at peace and is no longer suffering. I will miss him.
