Dear Family Of Mrs. Anderson, I was very sorry to read of your loss. . . . I worked at the former Eden Park Nursing Home (now The Pines of Poughkeepsie from 1981-1986, 3 of those years as the Health-Related Nursing Unit floors as the Ward Clerkof Floors 5 & 6. Mrs. Anderson was the Director of Nursing (aka the "Big Boss", after the Administrator, Mrs. Lavoiie) back then and in fact interviewed me for the position. She was a fair boss & dedicated to the patients. I'm sorry that I was unable to attend the visitation. . .again my condolences to all of you. . .Susan MacDonald

I am sorry to hear about your loss. Marie was a wonderful nurse. I happened to run into her multiple times when one of my children where in the pediatric unit at Vassar. My Mom and my Aunt both graduated with Marie at VBH in 1953. She was a very caring and helpful person and will be missed.

I always loved it when Uncle Fran, Aunt Lily, Eileen and Marie came to visit us in Coxsackie. The earliest I remember Marie was when I was 8-9 and Marie was going off to Nursing School. I was so impressed, because that's what I wanted to do when I grew up! After her parents died, she and Eileen kept coming to visit their Coxsackie relatives, bringing their growing families. Both of them always included their cousins in any family events, and I always appreciated that. The last time I saw Marie was at Marie and Jim's 50th wedding anniversary, so those are good memories of a much happier time, and that's how I will remember my sweet cousin. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I am so sorry for your loss. Our Heavenly Father feels sympathy for all who have felt the sting of death and therefore assures us that soon, He will wipe all tears from their eyes and death, pain and suffering will be eliminated (Bible book of Revelation 21:3,4). This scripture has helped me to cope with the loss of a loved one. I hope it comforts you also. Jan
