We are saddened by the passing of our good friend Ivan. My wife and I have known him for the past 44 years from time at Fort Devens to his service in the 11th Special Forces Group and through his retirement and activities in the community. He was a great soldier, mentor, friend and father. We shared many a laugh, dinner, beers and parachute jumps together and he always made a point of attending our 11th SFGA reunions. Our deepest sympathy to Jeanette and the girls. Rest in peace, old friend.

I had the honor of knowing Ivan for a few years at the firehouse. He was a good man, and always interesting to talk with. I'm glad that I had the privilege. "igitur qui desiderat pacem, praeparet bellum". Rest in peace Ivan.
