Dear Pat and family, I am so sorry that I couldn't be at the service for Bill. Nobody ever made me laugh more than Bill, and I have such fond memories of Chris and Andrew as two of my favorite students when I was teaching in Wappingers. I'm sure Bill's memories and pride in a successful family were on his mind right to the end. A successful life lived.

My condolences to the Chamuris family. I had not seen Bill in probably 50+ years. My grandfather, Elbert Ackerman, was Bill's supervisor at the Dutchess County court house, and I remember Bill being so kind to me as a young girl. May he rest in peace. I speak for my mother, Jean Ackerman Darrow, as well. She sends her condolences.
