To the Family of Father D'Agostino;
Our sincerest sympathy and condolences upon hearing of Father D's passing. Have thought and prayed for him often. Growing up in Gloversville, our family always attended mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Our parents were married there by Father Ottaviano. We all loved Father D. Such a loving and caring man whose love for our Lord was shown by the life he lived. God's Blessing to Father D for eternal peace, home now with our Loving Father.

Remembering a compassionate holy man who served his fellow man with humility and grace. My family was fortunate to receive his council, blessings and prayers. I had the task of caring for Primo, his boxer. I would bathe him and brush him for Father D. We lived near OL of Mt Carmel and enjoyed growing up with the priests and nuns nearby. My sympathies are with you. He really mae a difference in the lives of the students at our school.

Wonderful, wonderful Man, he will be missed. I served as an altar boy at Mt. Carmel with him and he officiated at my wedding. He was a personal friend of my parents Jim & Esther Gisondi of Gloversville. I have been writing my memoirs the last few years and you can be sure "Father D" was a major figure in my youth as a young adult and is prominately featured in many episodes and memories. God Bless him, as I'm sure he will.

Father D was a priest at my childhood parish in Gloversville, NY (Mt. Carmel) He was my absolute favorite priest of all time in fact after many years of not knowing where he was I found him at Teresian House and went to visit him last year. After at least 50 years he actually knew me, called me by name and we reminisced about the "good old days and the 3 D's".
Baptized, First Communion and Confirmation along with him marrying my parents and standing by my mother's side while my father was off fighting the war in Europe in the 1940's....that was Fr. D. I will always remember his quote to a boy in my senior graduating class when we attended a senior breakfast for the Catholics at the church hall. Fr. was asked, "Fr., can we smoke?" He replied without a second's hesitation, "Better here than hereafter."
RIP Father D. You had such an impact on so many. Thank you. "May the angels come to greet you..."

We in Gloversville loved Father D! I have so many wonderful memories of the priest who gave me my start in teaching, married me and was a good friend to our family. . God has received a wonderful priest with a great sense of humor and who lived a life dedicated to Him. .
