What a wonderful person, a man’s man from a bygone era and a ladies’ man, too, though so devoted and in genuine almost boyish awe of his beloved bride. I had the honor of becoming Henry’s friend maybe 12 years ago and will be forever grateful for his kindnesses and encouragement when times were tough, not to mention his generosity. It’s a rare person these days who goes off to a shoe store and buys boots for the four year old daughter of a friend of a friend, but Henry did that for me not long after we first met. He was always gracious and concerned, and spoke with such love and pride of his big, wonderful family. I’m sad that we lost touch in the end. May God bless his soul and comfort the family.
