Obituary of Henry R. Killian

Henry R. Killian, Jr., 88 of the Town of LaGrange, NY passed away at home on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. Henry was born on February 27, 1930 in Walterboro, SC to the late Henry R. and Christine Sanders Killian.

Henry proudly served in the U.S. Navy and Henry studied Engineering at New York University.

Henry and Patricia Greene were married on January 19, 1952 at St. Jerome's Church, Bronx, NY. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years,

 Patricia Killian.

Henry began his accomplished career at H.O. Penn Machinery as an office boy, retiring as Vice President. Henry went on to become managing partner of LHV Precast Corp., Kingston, NY. He served on the Board of the Dutchess County Industrial Development Agency for over 20 years. Henry was a Cub Scout Leader and active in youth baseball in Rockland County, NY. An avid golfer, Henry was a member of the Dutchess Golf & Country Club for more than 40 years.

In addition to his wife Patricia, Henry is survived by his daughters Christine and husband David Dunham, Pocono Pines, PA, Marylou Killian, LaGrange, NY, son James Killian, Sr., Poughkeepsie, NY,  Patricia and husband Nicholas Ierovante, Mount Pocono, PA, and Ginger and husband Michael Milbury, of Needham, MA,  14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 15 nieces and nephews. Henry was adored by his family and said he was happiest when they were near.

Calling hours are Monday, June 11, 2018 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Military Service with Prayers will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 10:00am at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral home. Burial is to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, NY.
